My Story with the game
I’m Adam, originally from Germany. I was fortunate to grow up in a family where music and acting were encouraged and supported. In this creative environment, my love of designing and playing games was born.
I learned Dungeons & Dragons in the 2000s from my older brother and soon became the GM. I was initially terrified and overwhelmed, but with his help, I learned how to run a successful campaign. I ran my 1st groups for about 5 years, then paused to focus on education, work and spiritual growth.
I am a member of Journeyman UK, a charity that supports teenage boys in their transition into adulthood, where I’m volunteering as a mentor. We often start a boys’ circle with games including movement and storytelling, and see how it helps relax, have fun as a group, feel safe to share about feelings, and be open to practice and learn skills.
In 2022, I was invited to run a few games for kids at Xmas and birthday parties. Soon, the first ongoing kid’s groups formed. I expanded into running for teens and adults in early 2024, giving some men from my men’s circle the opportunity to play with their teenage sons.
Boys benefit from a social group held by positive male role models, and it makes me happy that I can facilitate this playfully.
Like heroes in our game, some groups had to change or die and be revived over time, but the fun continues, and Letsplay2grow was created.

What I like about the game
acting, and swapping between characters with different voices, mannerisms and abilities
putting my life experiences into creating worlds, riddles, and sinister plots, and seeing those brought to life by my players
creating a safe container, to be filled with spontaneous, improvised creativity
creativity flows back to me from the player's ideas, which can be way more fun than what I thought would happen
seeing players grow and get better at working as a team, expressing their character, and using their knowledge about the Game World to overcome challenges
What I want to create with the game
Make your own game, using affordable or recycled materials! Once you understand the rules, you don't need to buy any products, which are limited by other people's imagination and resources. Just make it your own!
Video games are limited by technology and other people's ideas. Your imagination can go far beyond that! You can create your own world, hero, and story. The only limitation is: it has to be fun for the people you play with!
